Akuserk

WAOW it's rly rare for me to do something other than akubloss but I had to sketch something to post this big ass headcanon. Forgive me, a bit of it goes into meta and tropes and shit, but if you're familiar with all that, you'll probably understand what I mean. Hopefully. Maybe.

OK SO

People have been talking about this ship for years as a reaction to Akubloss....

Usually when people suggest Aku/Berserk it's because
1. They want to reserve Blossom for Brick, Dexter, etc
2. Berserk is "just an evil Blossom, right, so obviously she's better for Aku"

bbbbuuuut those are both lazy reasons and neither take into account:
1. Berserk is NOT Blossom. _{She's a completely different person from another world with her own (largely unknown) history, interests, personality traits, etc. she is not Blossom and never will be, and there's hardly any canon info on her.}
2. Even if Berserk was literally just an evil Blossom, and the people shipping it say it would work for this reason, then what they're really saying is that they think Aku/Blossom would work if Blossom were evil. Yet a lot of the draw of Akubloss is Blossom's potential for evil and Aku's potential to exploit that...so in this case, y'all might as well just be shipping Akubloss

Also keep in mind that Berserk and her sisters try to overthrow their own father on a daily basis and this is almost all we know about them. They're the PowerPUNK girls; punk culture is literally the embodiment of anarchy and social rebellion.
Aku's empire involves strict laws and order and total authority. Aku literally kills people for sassing him. Heroes are the only exception, because they have to live for the story to continue. Blossom could survive Aku for the same reason Samurai Jack does, despite all odds.
Berserk is not a hero. If she survives, it will be because she didn't even try to resist.



Berserk is from an alternate PPG universe. Aku has already met Blossom and her sisters (Super Secret Crisis War, or just some fanfic, idk). In order to have any interest whatsoever in the Powerpunk world, he would first have to have an interest in the Powerpuff world.

So let's say that Aku decides Blossom would be a nice little minion/bride in the future when she's stronger, since she's already the strongest and smartest of her sisters. However, Blossom, being a heroine, is not swayed so easily by Aku's tricks. He's more powerful than her, but she won't be dominated, she won't give in, even if she might come close sometimes.

Aku loves a challenge; he loves playing with this "new toy", so to speak. However, he finds out about the Powerpunk world from Blossom and her sisters discussing their journey there...and maybe his impatience gets the better of him.

Instead of trying to bend Blossom, he goes after her supposed evil self in Viletown.

He's already wasted enough time, and immediately kills Brat and Brute to eliminate Berserk's only potential allies against him. Oppressor Plutonium is soon done away with as well; although he isn't a loving parent, he's still a parent who would protest having his last minion taken away.

Berserk doesn't possess the hero's strength of spirit. She wouldn't get up and fight after seeing her sisters and creator slaughtered so effortlessly.
She crumbles for Aku to protect herself, submitting without question.
She lacks the goodness and sympathy in Blossom that could soften Aku, so if he settles for Berserk, he won't be learning anything about actual respect and love and kindness from her...therefore, he wouldn't be a very nice master.
And because Berserk cowered before Aku, she could never be his equal like Blossom could.
She would only ever be a tool, a plaything, a slave...and after all Aku has done to her by this point, she could only ever feel disgust for him in return.

So...yeah...I personally don't think actual love is possible here, but if you want them to fuck after in-character shenanigans, there ya go

And of course Berserk/Akio is my ship of choice over Berserk/Aku, since it's a much happier thing with character development potential ;_; and because akubloss 4 lyf
