Oh my! First critique for me!

First off, gunna say I love the negative shapes you got going on here, it really makes the piece more defined and stand out. That and the black mixed in with bright colors makes his face stand out even more, along with how the black doesn't have any texture like the rest.

Something else I love here is his face. The wrinkled nose and all the creases in his face I think make it. Along with the dark around the eyes and the paint brush effect on his flaming eyebrows. The blood splattered on his face also really sets the mood here.

Only thing I could think of that could be off is the slight wavering I see in the outline of the black here, but at the same time it seems to add something to it.

Anyway, nice piece of work! Even if I haven't read the story that inspired this, I'm very intrigued just looking at this and staring at all the little details... And not just 'cause it's Aku.
